I know two people who have auditioned. One actually got to meat Simon, Randy, and Paula. The other didn't make it past the screeners..

That's right, they have people who screen these contestants. Surely it is no mistake that a few extremely odd, talentless, deluded psychopaths get through. It would be a glaring error, right? Obviously it's good TV, and these losers do profit from it. But don't be fooled that these people just waltzed in to the real audition room, and onto your TV set because no one told them they were good.

Of course. The American masses want to tune in just to see the deviants who come in to audition, and Fox knows its audience well. But it's quite shameful.

Of course they have screeners. I don't think that anyone believed that ALL those weirdos just waltzed right in off the street. They're going to pick people who make it interesting for us viewers. I don't mind it. Eveyrone knows that American Idol is televised. They know what they're in for before they audition. Especially those ones who know they have no chance in hell. It's just to get your 5 seconds of fame. I don't see anything wrong with what the producers are doing. It makes me laugh.

I kind of feel bad for the people they make fun of they can't do anything just scream at them especially that guy that was juggling or something like that, at the end he just started crying I felt bad for him. But sometimes there are some funny auditions like where that girl was singing, the one with the cowboy hat. I was laughing because she thought she could actually sing.

yeah, they have screeners... you didn't know that?? how could Simon, Randy and Paula go through all the thousands of auditioners by themselves...

by now people know there is a chance they might get embarrassed if they go to audition....

It's def. getting rediculous with the people they show and put through. I want to see the good people...Maybe a few bad ones for a laugh or so, but I don't care about the people who get denied...I want to see the people who I'm potentially going to be voting for.

I know about the screening process. I wonder how they get past them. Why let them through if it's not to make good TV.

This isn't a surprise, anyone who thought that the big 3 auditioned each and every one of the contestants is an idiot. They pick the worst and tell them that they have a chance so that they will go in there and make ratings (cringe) worthy television. That's why you watch it. DUH!

They need people to go on to vote off the show or it wouldn't make the show so good to watch. Some people go on there just to get voted off to be on tv. for the fun of it.
