on the user has to put in password?

If you have Windows XP you can follow the following:

1. Go to your Start Menu.
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Click on user info
4. Click on Create an account
5. Follow directions from there on.

Just make sure you are listed as a Computer administrator otherwise it will automatically lock you out of certain programs and won't let you download anything. If you have another program I suggest you check you computer's User's manual

when your computer is starting press delete or it could be f2 depending on your system
it will then take you into the BIOS there you can put in a password then press save and exit the bios your PC now needs a password before it will start don't forget it as its hard to get round this
also you can password your pc by going into control panel /user accounts /change my account

On xp disble guest account, set 1 administrator account with password. Control panel>User accounts.
Otherwise in your system bios you should be able to password settings for a power on password.

Make sure if you set an admin password you don't forget it as this could cause you some issues.

just hit control, alt, delete at the same time. You will get a box that pops up, then just click lock computer.
