I've been 7 times - you'll have a great time.

I've found that the cheapest is outsideof summer time ie after August and before June/July.
Have a look at www.kelkoo.co.uk or www.expedia.co.uk for some cheap flight deals. If you dont mind have a change of plane somewhere in the US (eg Detroit, Chicago etc) you can get some great deals - I once got a flight incl tax for £230, but had to stop in Detriot for 2 hours - big deal, gave me time to have a cig or 10!!
Also, when you are booking your hotel, shop around as some UK websites charge per person, whereas most US ones charge per room and if you look at www.vegas.com or www.lasvegas.com you may get a supercheap deal as these guys block buy rooms and it is sometimes alot cheaper than going to the hotel direct.

If you can, the Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Paris, Aladdin are all really nice and if it's mid week, you can get great rates!!

Have a great trip - I am dead jealous!!

I got to Vegas all of the time and I have found that rates go down in the summer (and again after Thanksgiving, until about mid-January (except new years eve when prices double)). The excption to this is when there are conventions in town. Caesars, Wynn, The Venetian, and Bellagio will cost top dollar all of the time (like $150 and up) per night during the summer. The Flamingo, Ballys Monte Carlo, and some others you can get into for around $100 (but most times for less) during the low seasons. Its also more expensive in all Vegas hotels on Friday and Saturday nights by $40 to $60 more. So to get a lower rate plan to go to Vegas on Sunday and stay through Thursday night.

Take a look at the htoel rate calendars to see when they have the lowest rates. Their rate calendars usually cover 4 or 5 months. The rates can be crazy too, changing every day. SO So if you want something like $80 a day for a week you need to look at when that rate is available and expect that its gonna be higher for Friday and Sat nights.

The busiest time in Vegas, believe it or not are July and August so they may also be the most expensive.

We have gone in May and October and got pretty good deals both times. The cheapest time to go is right around Christmas because as you would expect not too many people travel then.

There are some hotels, The Orleans being one, that have pretty much the same rates all the time. It really depends on the type of accommodations you want and if you want to stay on the strip or not.

Just do some package searches on Expedia, Orbitz, Yahoo travel, etc.

The best rates of the entire year are after the NFR(National Finals Rodeo) up until just before New Years. This year that's December the 9th until the 28th. I booked the Gold Coast for 10 nights>December 16th-26th just last week for a total cost of $224. I found the rate on http://www.travelworm.com and the Gold Coast matched it.

The other "generally" cheaper times of the year are from Memorial Day until Labor Day and from the first of November until the end of February..

You will need to avoid special events and large conventions to keep rates down. Sunday through Thursday is much cheaper than Friday and Saturday.

If you're interested in going during the summer, try May 28th for 7 nights. There are some pretty good rates for that week. Travelworm has the Gold Coast for $30 and Orleans for $35 the first 4 nights, the weekend is higher, but if you're willing to move you might save a little that way. The Stratosphere, which is located on the North end of the strip averages $53.14 for the seven nights.

"The Hilton "has" $52 a night the first week of April" >I just checked the LV Hilton's site, the "lowest" rate for any night during the first week of April is $60 and the average for the 7 nights is $77.66 while these are very good rates that's not $52 if you're going to make a claim, please post a link to the deal so people who wish to take advantage of it can. Travelworm which usually has the best prices, has that week for $62.43(avg)....

Hi...I am going again the 1st week of April because for some reason hotel rates seem to be quite cheap during this time. For example the Hilton has 52 a night, yes, the Hilton.
I also went the 1st week of October in 06 and it was very cheap to go then also. Even my flight was cheaper than I am seeing it now. It is just the end of the hot weather at that time. It was just getting milder when we left.

Now or Mid summer. Personally I would pick mid summer because I dont mind hot weather and love to be out by the pools

Generally speaking spring and fall are high seasons in Vegas due to the milder and pleasant weather.

If you avoid holiday or special event times in winter or summer you are likely to get a good deal more often then not.

Avoid April and May as they are the most expensive...

Your opportunities selection from slender to none. Vegas golf equipment are lots of the favorite in the international, and because that's a 21 and up city for the main area, and liquor is a huge business enterprise out right here, no person is going to place quite some scratch on the line to entertain a baby. golf equipment - and the casinos frequently - have a tendency to hire fairly smart protection individuals that could spot a faux identity without delay. in addition they test them and in lots of situations blacklight them. it ought to no longer be on each and every man or woman, yet are you able to have the money for the random risk? think of roughly this - are you keen to, on the least, kiss that identity so long? Do you have somebody keen to return bail you out of penal complex? via fact the two of those are an exceptionally reliable risk.

Recommended by AARP, try these travel agencies: Brennan Vacations: 1.866.755.8580; Cosmos: Same number; General Tours: 1.800.858.0908; Globus: 1.866.755.8580; The Right Vacation Rental: 1.888.868.6871; Untours: Same number; World On Skis: 1.866.613.5597. BTW: As you've noticed, some agencies have the same number. If you choose any of this, I would call and ask about each agencies rates (if they have a Vegas package). Save your time and a call--that's my motto!

When I planned my trip they told me the first three weeks of December and also anytime in the summer. The hotter it is there the cheaper it is to travel to Vegas. I stayed at the Westward Ho and its was very cheap. Its now closed though. My second choice would of been on Freemont Street. GOOD LUCK!!
