And what does it mean if you do?

I do.

And to me it means supporting what they are doing as well as themselves personally.

You cannot 'support' somebody when you are trying to force them to lose.

Keeping them alive is supporting them, so why are they getting 3rd rate armour made by a friend of Halliburton? Also of note, soldiers who do not use "approved" armour will NOT receive death benefits if they get killed, and that includes using privately purchased body armour that is BETTER than the "approved" armour.

Protecting them from war crimes trials is supporting them. However, you don't make them immune to charges by threatening violence against legal bodies; you do it by not ordering them to commit war crimes.

Fighting only legal wars is supporting them. If the cause IS NOT just, they are being sent into harm's way for no good reason; every dead soldiers is blood on Chicken George's hands. Unfortunately, Chicken George uses the blood to fingerpaint with.

People who genuinely support the US troops want them brought home immediately. There is no "job" to finish; that is a lie told to justify keeping them there.

I do! I have several people that are close to me fighting over there right now. They are fighting for someone's freedom. It makes me angry that so many people say that they dislike George W and that this war is all his fault and that we aren't making any progress there and why cant' he bring the troops back right now & stuff. You know, he doesn't make these decisions all on his own. I wonder how many people could actually handle his day to day job. You know, right after 9/11 everyone was so gung ho about the war and stuff and now I wonder why so many people have forgotten why we're there in the first place.
I DO support our troops! They are fighting for a good cause. I pray for them every day and for their saafe return.

I support are troops hole heartedly. It means that i put my trust in these men and women, with MY LIFE.Home or abroad. They fight for the liberty of this country and many many other countries with the U.N. Its down to our troops that we live the way do today, and have lived for the past 90 years ( world war i and world war ii}.Like the majority of other countries in the world with their troops, PATRIOTIC.

I support them and this means no matter where they are what they are doing I will back them personally morally emotionally politically. I may not like they are there God knows I want my 2 sons home but this is the life they want to live and the choice they wanted to make and this is what they want to accomplish. By God I will stand with them and those that don't as far as I am concerned the air ports have planes leaving this country every day and they can get on one. I don't stand behind most of our politicians in this.

I will always support the troops as should all of us. Its the political masters that send them to these hell holes to fight their wars that i have most reservations about.

Yes we in Britain should support them and we should also support our police but it is sometimes difficult to see that

yes as ex army of course i do and i would be a lot more supportive if they were all brought home and get this country sorted out and shut our borders and let some other countries do the fighting outside and we keep out of it all for once and then this country will get back to how we British have always known it

My brother is one of them, so you better believe I do.

I think 'supporting' them means you're praying for their safety, hoping they make it home okay, and trusting that they know how to do their jobs and know why they're there. Some soldiers will say they don't agree, but as I recall, nobody held them at gunpoint or forced them against their will to sign up for military service.
