I never got the ovulation kits to work when I was ttc. I would just wing it. You know that you are fertile about 2 weeks after your period starts... My plan was to have sex every other day starting then. It worked for me!

if you don't want to pay for an ovulation kit, www.babycenter.com has an ovulation calculator where you plug in the first day of your last period and then it will tell you the dates when you will be the most fertile. It worked well for us with both babies and in between when we wanted to avoid getting preg.

I get my OPKs from the Dollar Tree and they are very accute and reliable and they are only a dollar, I dont know if you have dollar trees where you live but I would look into it.
