I do know homophobic gay people, but if it's an individual instance, it's not homophobic. Homophobia is based on intent.

Ring Pirate huh? That's a new one to me. I think it all depends on your vocal intonation and the situation at the time you said it. Why did you say this to him? Was it in fun or was it said with a little heat? If you're gay it sounds like you were being nasty, not homophobic. If you're straight, it was definitely homophobic. How's that for double-standard, eh?

I sometimes use gay derrogitory terms myself - and in retrospect get annoyed that I did so. I think it's common for gay guys to do so as we'll use a word which can be deeply offensive in order to insult. Women when angry call other women derrogitory terms when provoked - doesn't mean they're sexist.

I think we all fight it, and are not keen when we do use it against people like ourselves.

depends on the gay guys involved.

A gay couple is lying in bed. The blonde man says to his boyfriend, "I am going to make you the happiest guy in the world"

The boyfriend says, "I'll miss you....."

i think the important is the attitude and not the words...You english people are much concerned about words but not about intentions. That is why you are always saying thanks and please uncontrollably but without really meaning it
