I have tried everything that you guys have told me to and i did get some stuff deleted but i went to the search and looked for norton and it gave me like 20 norton things and i deleted all but 4 becouse when i try to delete them it says( Can not delete file: cnanot read from the source file or disk) what do i do now? please help

hi start your computer in safemode then go too program files look for anything do do with nortons right click on the folder and then click on delete then click on start .. search .. all files and folders
type in nortons nortons what ever comes up delete then type in
Symantec and delete them files and in program files delete anything that says norton or Symantec do this in safemode
empty the windows bin

then restart your computer and everthing too do with norton/ Symantec is gone

you have to turn off the norton services. To do that you need to click start>run and type services.msc .find the symcantec or norton service and then click stop only then can you uninstall it. (Ps:- do not stop any other service there.And be sure it is the right one).

You could also click start>run and type msconfig. click services and check the box which says hide all microsoft services. You can then uncheck the ones which says norton or symantec and then click ok and restart. And then uninstall symantec.

Symantec is generally very difficult to uninstall once it has been installed.

chances are that it has quarentined the ones it has not deleted
later today is the weekly update
get it up todate and do a full scan
if its quarentined than i wouldnt worry
