I am an HR recruiter at present. I've worked as a generalist in the past - (employee relations, benefits, recruiting, etc.). I have a bachelor's in business administration and a master's in liberal arts. I would recommend specializing in human resources, but a business degree, with an emphasis in human resources will allow you more opportunities. This way, you can always branch out in other areas, i.e., Public Relations, Marketing, etc., should HR not be the area you are a "good fit" for. Good luck in your job search. Feel free to email me if you have questions or want to ask additional questions.

You need a degree in ....Human Resources...typically those people are hated in big companies and are considered to be the "Secret Police" of big companies.
