What does it mean when the say 'basing it on Tay Bridge.' And what does the Queen mother have to do with it?

Also, what do you think about the guy that plays Blair. I think he shows all his thickness perfectly!

And what's the deal with the different ways of saying ma'am..... 'ma'am as in ham, and not farm..'?

in real life can we address the queen as 'your majesty'? And is does Philip have the title of king?

Loved that movie btw. Was excellent. I hope Helen wins that Oscar!

Where can I get the video of that famous Diana interview when she says there are three of is in this marriage so it's a bit crowded?

And where can I get the video of the queen's speech the one she makes at the end of the move (the real queen.)

I just feel that the movie reminded of the Queen's humanity. She' such a nice lady. I would wish I could meet her one day. What do you think?

Sorry for all the questions, just answer what you want from them...

Oh and in the movie, I thought Blair's wife was a huge b*tch. What did you think.

Tay Bridge was the code name for the Queen Mother's funeral plans. Churchill's funeral plans were called Operation Hope Not. Code names are sometimes used for important ceremonies which are known to be inevitable (it was expected that the QM would die before Diana and her funeral plans were already set in 1997).

Philip is not a king as a woman takes her status from her husband (unless she is of higher rank) but not vice-versa. The husbands of duchesses, baronesses, etc in their own right get no titles. Philip was not automatically a prince but had to be created a prince after they married.

Try youtube.com for the Martin Bashir Panorma interview with Diana and the Queen's tribute to Diana.

Some British people do, or used to, pronounce ma'am like farm, especially as in 'schoolmarm', which is like a headmistress. Apparently the Queen used to pronounce 'sacks' as 'sex'.

It was a very good film, Helen Mirren (who I don't usually like) was exemplorary as the Queen, I really began to believe that she was THE queen.
The one that played Blair was also pretty good and the one playing Cherie was OK too, although a bit too pretty for her.
I would also love to meet the queen but in private not in front of a load of flashing cameras.
Not sure where you can get a copy of that Diana interview. Have you tried Amazon?
