This is a poem (not a song), but it has helped me a time or two. I can't think of anything worse than emotional suffering --- I hope this helps...

"Comes the Dawn"

"After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept defeats
With your haed held up and your eyes open,
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads
On today because tomorrow's ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have
A way of falling down in mid-flight.

After a while you learn that even sunshine
Burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate
Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowres,
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong...
That you really have worth.

And you learn and learn...
With every good-bye you learn."

I would sing you the allfamous and cheery song, "Hakuna Matata"
Lion King can make anyone happy, if you want to puke though I could sing you "Its A Small World" over and over and over again. Another happy song for when you are down in the dumps you could sing "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney....

Ditto by Cassie or maybe Irriplacable by Beyonce, both are some good songs. I think that Cassie song"Ditto" is pretty cute, like having-a-crush Cute. other than that, you could always listen to Lying by Martina Topley-Bird

Oooh, OOh, OOh, I got it

"your body is a wonderland" by John Mayer

LEAN ON ME
By Bill Withers

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Lean on me...

Keep you chin up ... Take care.

"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Even though your world doesn't feel so wonderful now, listening to this tune will help you to remember the beauty and joy that is out there. Truly hope your heart mends soon.

First, I would play "Smile" for you by Nat King Cole, then we would finish it up with "I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor, and if you still don't feel any better, I would treat you to a huge banana split with chocolate sauce and a cherry on top!

Cheer up, he doesn't deserve you, baby girl! :)

Long Live Rock by the Who. Not that the lyrics would help, I just do a great accoustic version of it and it's my favorite song to play.

I'd sing "Video" by India Arie, because it's a very empowering song, and it's super-cool too haha
