It doesn't surprise me at all. After seeing the hearing on CSPAN last night, it just shows how much this current government is censoring truth from its citizens, and puts out its own propaganda.

Lots of federal legislation has been passed in a bi-partisan manner under the Bush administration, and augmented by private industry, to reduce global warming and American dependence on foreign oil.

Global warming is a favorite subject for tree-hugging Sierra Club members, who don't necessarily know what they're yammering about. It also appeals to the left-wing, including Al Gore, as part of their political agenda. But Ted Kennedy is still fighting Florida Power and Light to keep them from putting wind turbines off the east coast where he and other rich eastern Democrats might have to look at them. So who is the hypocrite?

from what I have heard and studied, there is not good science behind the man-made global warming school of thought. Several times I have heard prominent scientists state that global warming is correlated to solar activities, not human activities. I do not know why it's so important to so many people to buy into the idea of man-made global warming. In a way, I don't like to discourage people from this idea because it might motivate them toward some positive action such as riding bikes instead of driving, installing some solar power, trading in their gas guzzlers for economy vehicles, etc etc.
What misleading are you referring to with regard to the Bush administration?
Thanks.

The sceintific community has been well aware if this--and the story that just got Congress' attention broke over a year ago. But this is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. The Bush administration has been intimidating scientists and altering their findings for years. Of course, Bush denies it--but the evidence is there in black and white--reports altered, facts falsified, etc.

No one mis lead anyone. It is still not a proven fact of any kind. The earth is warming but it has nothing to do with us nor can anything be done to stop it. It will reverse as it has always done. THe earth warms, then cools. Get a life.

The same way I felt on 9/11 when Bill Clinton said everyone would be ok after the first World Trade Center bombing.

Par for the course. The Bush Administration is the most inept, untrustworthy, and dishonest of all time. Watch how much truth comes out now that the Republicans no longer control congress.
