I have been working at the same place for almost 8 years and I have been semi-trying to get out and find something else. However, its very hard to go on several interviews when you are already working. Many places do not give after hours interviews. How do you get around this?

contact them via the internet and ask them if there is a good time to come in after you finish your job. I think by being honest with them they will take that into consideration.

My advise if you hate your job, get out while you can, it never gets better, I felt that way for alot of years and they actually fired me after 15+ years. So, it does no good to stay in a unhealthy environment, If it's that bad the interviews that you need to make will happen, don't try and get them all on the same week, you've waited this long, even if it takes a few months it will be worth it in the long run. Usually they set up interviews around your and their scheldues, try your lunch hour, if not try changing your lunch hour at your job? It will come to you, good luck!

I was in your situation about 5 years ago. I tried to schedule interviews during my lunch hour. Mine was from 11-noon, it worked for me, but some may not want to schedule at that time. Do you have "personal time' you can use? Maybe take an hour off to go to an interview or two.

Start creating your own business online. Then you can do it anytime before or after your current work hours till you build up your business enough to quit your current job!

You either have to take time off and use ''personal'' or look for something like a home business where you can work for yourself and not for a boss...good luck.
