It is my understanding that we lost those fights because of superior use of propaganda and the media.

If that is the case, why do we insist on fighting our wars only on the battlefield? Why do we think that more people equates to victory?

While pulling out most certainly would indicate losing, staying and adding more troops does not necessarily mean that we win.

What should we do to "win" in Iraq if we define winning as leaving the country as a stable democracy?

Put all the politicians in combat boots and leave em in hell for a week.

Then put them back to their desks AND WATCH THEM REALLY DOING THEIR JOBS.

Trying to impose democracy through a military invasion is like trying to make someone happy by grabbing him or her by the neck and shouting: "be happy, you stupid twit!"

Since "winning" here is defined as leaving Iraq a solid democracy, and since our invasion has created thousands of angry rebels who had mom, dad or kids killed by our bombs, the chances to "win" are zero.
