I like to daydream about night things in the middle of the afternoon.

I daydream all the time and about many different things. I daydream about things I'd like to happen or would rather do. I daydream about people I know and those I've never met. I sometimes daydream about being a better person than I am (in a multitude of ways). Sometimes I try to plan out my day in daydreams.

That isn't really daydreaming, that is worrying. Daydreaming is something to be enjoyed.

I've often heard of people daydreaming about being in a meadow on a warm summer day, or about being on the beach, or in the mountains watching leaves change color in the fall. There are so many things.

My favorite daydream is about what my kid will be like. I imagine a little girl about three years old, she has dark brown hair and dark skin (like a white girl with a tan), light brown eyes. Often I imagine watching as my future wife shows her how to bake cookies, or me showing her how to ride a bike, or reading her a bedtime story while she is holding tight to the dog (my dog--pug puppy) because she was scared of some monster in the closet. So I call my pug over (now the family dog) and the dog crawls into the bed with my daughter. Then I tell her she no longer has to be afraid because Bo (the puppy) is always listening and will bark at anything scary to scare it off, or how me and her mother are right next door, or how she can pray to God to protect her; and then she calms down and goes to sleep with Bo under her arm.

I'm fond of the family daydreaming. But just take a couple of minutes now and again to enjoy a daydream, rather than let it take over and add on to stress in your life.
