I think they've always been overlooked. They are great musicians, but they never were super stars, and in my country they are almost unknown. I have some theories:

1) Too goody two-shoes. It's sad, but seems like you have to show some skin this days if you wanna be famous.

2) Bad music videos. All are the same. They singing or sitting in a couch.

3) Never made a better album than their first, "Forgiven, Not Forgotten". Actually, "Home" (2005) is better, but it is not as commercial as former albums

Talk on Corners has better songs, but as a whole doesn't work as well as FNF. And they penned and arranged every song in FNF. TOC and succesive albums had more and more contributions from third parties.

They kick *** on stage. That's something you've got to respect.

Outstandingly talented musicians, but too pretty for their own good. Having David Foster produce their first album made it a lot more mainstream than it would have been otherwise. Yup, their videos suck too, but their conecrt videos show them at their best. "Talk On Corners" is pretty good too, in case you forgot.

I think The Corrs are a great band, and severly overlooked. They were at one point slightly more mainstream because they were an Irish band, and their company was probably hoping that they would make a splash like U2 did. They didn't become huge, but their music is always seriously overlooked. It is beautiful, and the songs have great meaning. I've cried listening to some of their songs, and everytime I seem to get a new appreciation of what they put into each song.

I do remember that on VH1 they did have a special where they preformed on stage, and they sung a song with Bono "Blue", it was sooo beautiful. "where do you go when you're lonely. I'll follow you, when the sky turns blue". And the dancing at the end. Just by the way they sing, it seems like they really love the music. I only hope that they get the recognition they deserved.

I love The Corrs too, but I don't think it was what the music world wanted at the time. I love Song for Ireland and Breathless will always be a favourite.

I'VE BEEN ASKING THE SAME QUESTION FOR YEARS!
PEOPLE TELL ME THAT THEY ARE TOO MUCH OF A FAIRY TAIL SINGERS AND THAT THEY ARE NOT POP ENOUGH.
THAT THEY WERE TOO OLD FOR TEENAGERS, AND TOO YOUNG FOR THOSE WHO LIKE MORE MELLOW MUSIC.
IN MY OPINION THEY WERE JUST AT THE WRONG TIME ,WHERE ALL AGES WERE CRAVING BRITNEY SPEARS AND THAT KIND OF MUSIC,OR WANT TO LISTEN THE OTHER EXTREME, LIKE GRUNGE.
I LOVE THEM...
