*when there are streams of evidence that they were...black*

*there is also evidence that the original woman is the Asiatic black woman*

*this is the knowledge that is kept from so many people, why do you think it is?*

*Binz...that's a nice thought*.

But you need to understand black people...

We were brought here due to slavery...

Our roots diminished.

We need to know our history to know ourselves and what were capable of.

A lot of black people are lost in this world simply because we dont know our history.

i think it's funny how people really are getting really angry just at the thought of it...

some peole need to learn how to accept the truth...

i'm not "obseesed" with race...it just perplexes me as to why I get treated the way I do just because of how i look, and kept from all of this wonderful information that has the power to inspire other black people to be the best they can be....we are descendants from kings and queens...but we are made to feel like we are inferior...

i just find it interesting

I don't think anyone is a pure race...

and i personally haven't seen anyone the color "black"

we range from light brown to dark chocalate...but I don't care what shade of "black" you are...society still considers you black

there is evidence in America of the diversity of black people, we are all different colors, but we all equal black

why does it have to be different in this situation...

2007-01-31 04:24:56 · update #3

you people are so self righteous...yet so...brainwashed...you people are the perfect example of the superiority/inferiority complex that exists within you subconsciously...

some things never change

I agree with you Hope...but it does matter.

There are a lot of black people in this world who are lost simply because they don't know where they come from, they don't know their history...

It's only getting worse.
Our home is a racist home (America).
We were born here, yet were made to feel like we shouldn't be here.

The truth of the matter is black people are discriminated against, everyday all day.

Color shouldn't matter but in today's world it does. As much as I would love to say we have rised above all the racist bull, we haven't.

And I think knowing more about your history helps you learn more about yourself as a whole.

There are many black people with low self esteem because we are taught (by society) that we are no good. That's simply not true. But black people treat themselves as if they are no good. If black people only tapped into the power we have inside we would be a much stronger people.
There is a problem with self hatred amongst black people...period

2007-01-31 05:09:01 · update #5

Color of your skin shouldn't define you

But the fact of the matter is...people are treated according to how they look.

People are judgemental, and about Jesus being black...would it change...probably who knows.

In a perfect world race wouldn't matter.
This world is faaaar from perfect. and you can't say Blacks aren't treated different

Racism is alive and well, and I don't intend on pretending like it doesn't exist. I would only be lying to myself

Well there is good evidence to Suggest jesus was black but the world hides that to. Until we rid ourselves of the racist intolerant leaders we have we will never move forward as a society and see things for what they really are.

The fact of the matter is that it dosent matter. At the time it wasnt race that determined class. This is a eurocentric concept.RAcial differences didnt matter to the people. The people of egypt come in all colors. The ancient egyptians were no different. It only matters to the people who dont know history. I think that many societies especially european ones like for powerful figures in history to look like them. You just have to realize thats just how people are. All you can do is try and teach the truth!! But to me the real question is why does it matter? If jesus was black how would that change anything? Would they stop being christian?

The ancient egyptians would have appeared more like moder Arabs. The black egyptians were actually Nubians and other peoples from the south. Some of these Nubians actually became Pharohs, but the typical Egypt was neither caucasion nor black, they were similar to today's semetic peoples in appearence. SImply look at images of tomb paintings, most of the figures are brown in coloration, as are most modern semetics. Figures representing Nubians are painted black, like the skin color of the people they represent.

Try a google search for tomb paintings if you don't believe me, and remember nearly ALL African-Americans have white anscestors, which is why their skin tone is sometimes lightened in comparison to the nearly black complexions of most native sub-saharan africans.

Before you think otherwise, remeber this interesting fact. THe ancient egyptians migrated from the western Sahara desert before settling on the Nile Delta. The Egyptians who built the pyramids were not Nubians. Don't adjust history to suit your needs, I accept that the ancient Egyptians were not white. I agree with some of the other posts, where are these "streams of evidence"? If they do in fact exist, I would be very interested in them.

I am sorry if you feel that people are hiding your "true" history, it just shows that you are adjusting reality to suit your needs. There were black LEADERS in many kingdoms, but the ancient egyptian commoners were not black.

Out of Curiosity I read your editing work. I am not a racist, neither am I brainwashed. I simply look at historical evidence from literature and photographs and come up with my own conclusions. THE ANCIENT EGYPTIAN COMMONERS WERE NOT BLACK, AND THEY WERE ALSO NOT WHITES! Get over it already OR EDIT YOUR QUESTION AND ADD YOUR SOURCES OF INFORMATION!

now that's a difficult question.

for many people, admitting that humans came from Africa is really hard. This puts a spanner in their thinking that jesus and ultimately everyone else was white and therefore had to be the superior race.
there are many texts that prove that Africa was the birthplace of the human species millions of years ago.
Most white people are uncomfortable with the idea that they are not the original creators of the species. It is hard to understand the prejudice and bias that people have towards others. In the movies, producers seem to think that they will make more money and their movie will be more readily accepted if the people are white.
it if very complicated and made more so by people/governments that don't want to admit that we enslaved the originators of our species. The people who make movies in western culture are predominantly white and until we get movies from other countries that can make it into the mainstream (like bollywood is doing) there will always be a disposition to make people white.
I have studied African history and politics but cannot remember the names of the books we used for references.

I am not sure what your streams of evidence are but I am pretty sure that ancient Egyptians were not black. The evidence I have seen is that they were not though as one other answerer has pointed out there were many different people from many places living in ancient Egyptian societies.

One person who is often said to have been black is Cleopatra who was Greek (descended from Ptolemy) and according to Roman documents had red hair. Another is Nefertiti who clearly was fairly pale.

This is not some big conspiracy, just the facts as they present themselves-Skin colour is only a human adaption after generations to living in particular conditions

Ancient Egyptians were not "black" in the sense of what black Africans are today. North Africans were "black" but were mixed with Mediterranean peoples as well. It is to too general a statement to say that Egyptians were "black". For example, Cleopatra VII was not black like many people argue. Just because she was Queen of Eqypt does not make her black. She was very Greek and came from a line of Greek kings (Ptolemy).

I do agree that history books have always portrayed peoples to be more white than anything else. For example, there is a lot of evidence that the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus was black. He was the first emperor born in Africa and looking at his statues, he appears to have black features. His son Caracalla really looked black.

I agree. In fact there is much evidence to show that Adolph Hitler was black. He underwent a treatment of the skin similar to what Micheal Jackson did.

In fact his family genealogy can be traced back to the cradle of life in Africa, where in the beginning there was only a giant turtle from which all human life sprang.

There is also a cover-up going on within NASA. The Mariner spacecraft discovered that black people lived on Mars ion's ago.
It's all a "world" conspiracy to keep the black race down.

Education is a wonderful thing don't you think?

This sounds like something Hitler would have asked only you have to subsitute Aryan for black. It just sounds like you are obsessed with race. I don't now what my ancestral history is and don't care. I am living my life as a an American without a hypen or a preceeding racial indicator and think you are a messed up in your studies as people were in the Old South or in Nazi Germany, or in the Middle East now I guess. Ewww!

Ancient Egypt is categorized by most historians as a "melting pot"...while there were Eqyptians with darker, sub-saharan African skin tones, there were also Egyptians from the North and East.
I've done a lot of reading on ancient Egypt and the general consensus is that this civilization should not be characterized by the race of its people, but rather by its culture.

I think that the majority of people consider God,Jesus, and any historical figure the same color as they are. So to answer your question darker skined people = the majority of the worlds population. Guess they never heard Black is Beautiful.
