1. I live in 1 bed room apt (not particularly in central) with AC
2. I live with my wife
3. I cook the food at home
4. I travel by Public trnspt
5. Have cable TV and PC at home

Rent 1 Bed Room apt (30 mins from city): $700 onwards
Electricity: $50, without air-con
Gas: $40 (if you cook)
Water: $50 (depends on your usage)

Telephone: min $25 for fixed home line, if your usage is high total around $50

Cable/TV: We have free local programs, for cable is around $20 onwards depending on how many channels you have

Public trnspt: $100

Food for cooking: $100

Total cost around 1200 SGD so you will need around 3500 SGD a month to be able to save 2000 SGD a month

you also need to take note that the above estimation does not include own shopping and other own expenses

in singapore the cost of living is not expensive .

1. house --800 sgd

2. you eat outside thats not expensive its too cheap a dosa will charge 2.50 sgd , example
