They don't exactly show people at their best which can be a bit depressing which is why the off and the mute button is such a neat invention.
Pity the 3 witches never used it on their big mouth's in BB...... they were definitely in need of a reality check.
I for one will never watch another reality programme again considering how irresponsible CH4 were. They could have and should have intervened before it got to stage it did. Programming at it's worst under the title of entertainment and not precisely an example or role model or image you want to present to teenagers and other countries whose celebrities were taking part in this fiasco.

I think they will go on forever as long as there are people that like looking into the lives of others.

Why should anyone ever get off the couch anymore?

Survivor will take you to isolated places and give you all the drama without ever leaving your living room. Amazing Race feeds the adventure/race junkies. Folks can watch the Biggest Loser instead of actually trying to lose weight. You can watch things like Mean Girls, Next Top Model, Simple Life or The Real Coyote Ugly and see how the other half "really" lives.

Why should anyone get a life when they can live through the TV?

The BBC are showing a new one next week called Verdict, where 12 celebs are the jury and debate the evidence.
It's basically the film 12 Angry Men, but will be nowhere near as good.
Whatsmore, Jeffrey Archer is one of the jurors and he's a convicted criminal.
It's totally implausible and unnecessary.
I'd rather watch repeats of On The Buses than all these fabricated reality shows.
It shows no imagination at all on the part of programme makers.
Truly shite TV.

Yeah, like anything else they'll hit the saturation point...and then some network will come up with a new "gimmick" show format, and every other network will immediately follow suit. (Remember all the "trivia" game shows in prime time that flooded the networks a few years ago when "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" first appeared?)

There are some reality shows that just are pointless, just pure T&A. Plus, I think reality tv is the death of television. Just watch the news, that's reality enough. Good luck!

I pay for 60 channels and only watch 10 of them: History, CNN News, Spike TV, Court TV, USA, and TNT, and the local channels for local news. The rest is junk, and you are witnessing the death of television as entertainment. It really exists only to sell stuff to the gullible...

You don't have to watch them!! You can always turn off/over. Just because they 'depress' you, doesn't mean others can't watch them.

If people keep watching them, they'll carry on being shown.
