The Intel Core 2 Duos are the best out right now. However if you are on a tight budget, like under $150, then the AMDs are better. Both are good quality though, so don't worry about that aspect.

Both are fine choices. Although I would technically go with Intel, it really doesn't matter.
For a CPU, brand isn't really as important as clock and bus speeds. Don't worry about what company makes it.

Right now it's Intel , with their Core 2 Duo.
If you buy AMD now you are wasting your $$$.
Obviously it may change in the future.

both are pretty well, AMD especially atholon seriess will give better performace for lesser cost.
anyway intel will better if you dont want to go into much technical aspect.
