I hope it's either John Edwards or Barack Obama. I campaigned for John Edwards in the last election and have met him personally in round table discussions that he holds before all of his appearances. He is a man of genuine integrity, intelligent, and genuinely cares about people.

I have done a lot of research on Barack Obama also, and find him to share the same qualities as John Edwards. Both men are Progressives or Moderates, Conservative to a degree, and want to keep the U.S. Constitution intact instead of taking away our rights and won't run a secret government, as we now have.

I live in Iowa, so I am fortunate to meet and talk with many of the candidates, since they visit here most often.

I have a feeling it's going to be Edwards. People got a good long look at him during the 2004 election, and I think a lot of people thought he was stronger than Kerry.

So, he's further along as a candidate than any of the others. He has wide appeal. I mean, he's this really smart, charming, aw-shucks kind of Paul McCartney bubbly guy.

I think his type plays really well with people. He's the type of American most of us wish we were. Optimistic, constructive. Self-made. Happy. I admire him.

He is very articulate, yet folksy and personable at the same time. He has a gift for clarity, gets to the essence of complicated problems without being pretentious.

I think he'll make it and will be a great President.

Lots of other strong Dem candidates. I also like Obama, Dodd, Feingold.

I don't like Clinton (angry person), Richardson (wolf in sheeps clothing), Kucinich (too combative).

Right now I would have to say John Edwards has a real good chance.

Hillary will have a hard time convincing the base that she can beat a republican, because of her connection to Bill.

Obama has been the media darling, but it is too soon, we all saw what happened to John Dean. I think there is alot of dirt that other candidates are holding onto until the primaries, that will end that run.

John Edwards already went through one round of back checks and mudslinging, so he should be able to survive the mire, he is also good in front of a camera, and his southern charm will remind the base of Bill Clinton, only without the baggage.

I say Edwards

Mark Warner.

Although he has previously said he was NOT running, he recently admitted that there is still a possibility.

Hillary and Obama are too polarizing. Warner was the governor (more electable than a Senator) of Virginia (a generally Red State).

Warner is a moderate that could grab people on both sides of the aisle. He'll announce he changed his mind, crush in the primaries, and win the nom.

Democrats' best hope.

They all believe in liberal agenda, they all believe in big government, they all believe that they alone have the right to lead. Bill Richardson is perhaps the only one that seems to have a mind of his own, and is willing to work with others to make some good changes to help the country. 0bama is power hungry, inexperienced, elusive , and is a good talker. Hillary is a congenital liar, who has dodged sniper fire in Bosnia. Biden is a plagiarist who is passionate about talking about himself. Richardson has some interesting experiences and seems to talk common sense. Dodd is a little bit of a mystery, but seems like a typical politician.

Doesn't matter. Whoever gets elected, will keep on doing what Clinton and Bush were doing.

I guess Edwards. Obama and Clinton are easy targets and I don't think the USA is ready to elect a Black man or a woman.

According to the latest poll, John Edwards has the lead. ANYBODY except Hillary Rottweiler Clinton. Even (no experience) Obama bin Laden would be better than her.

I'm thinking Clinton and Obama as VP...then wouldn't it be cool if the Republicans ran Condie Rice so all the bigotted backward rednecks would have to pick between a white WOMAN and an African American WOMAN!!! heheheheheh

Maybe Ralph Nader would finally get a few votes.

Somebody we haven't heard anything about yet. It seems to happen frequently - ex. Carter, Clinton

It's too early to say with any confidence. The primaries tend to be unpredictable.
