OK, Here's the deal: Although people at different levels of fitness react differently to exercise, excessive levels of exercise can stress the central nervous system (CNS). If your CNS goes into overdrive, then all sorts of bad things can start to occur. Firstly, you can potentially run into hormonal problems, in the sense that your body's natural hormonal production is thrown out of whack, and secondly, all the stress can manifest itself through increased fluid (water) retention and even, ironically, fat gain. Pay very careful attention to your diet, too. Many women fail to realize that a certain amount of dietary fat is in fact necessary for a healthy production of hormones. I know plenty of women who have gone on a low fat (or no fat) diet, only to have their menstrual cycle thrown out of whack. Not all fat is bad - and it's a myth that eating fat can make you fat. Focus on the healthy stuff like omega 3 fatty acids and the monounsaturated fats found in nuts and avocado's etc. So I'm recommending you do two things: go easy on the exercise for now, and make sure your diet is in check.

I'm having the same problem too! I just posted a question about it. I did some reseach and this is what i came up with that could cause late and abnormal flow:

Stress, trauma, physical exertion, infection, illness, new medication.

They said that it could just be that something interfered with your normal ovulation etc.

You can wait 2-3 cycles to see if this continues. If yes, you should see a gyno which is what I plan to do.

If you are exercising excessively and your body fat is extremely low it can affect your period. Your doc will probably say there is nothing to worry about yet. If you don't have a period for three months then they'll probably do some tests.

I've had the opposite happen, I hadn't exercised in a while, and my period was very, very late, but as soon as I went to the gym and started exercising it came.

If your sure your not pregant then it's possible for exercise to delay your periods. It's never happened to me before but I've heard that it's possible so I guess it could effect some women.

Exercise can delay your period if it is extensive, don't worry, your body is just getting used to the new routine.

Yes, if you have started an intense excerise program, it could. If it keeps up for a week or so, go see your OB to just be sure.

Good job on the workouts!

over the counter preg tests are very very accurate!! If you do alot of cardio and have low body weight you can delay or even stop your period all together.
