I worked in a computer store for about 7 years, DONT use other ink in a printer, besides what is designed for it! The problem is that the ink is specially formatted for that particular printer and the print heads. Other refill inks can be and are different consistancies and will cause jams on the printer. Normal diagnostics for a printer is about $69.99. And most are more expensive to fix than to just purchase a new printer. So I have heard some good things and that the refill kits work great for some people, but I personally would not take the risk. On top of all this, if you are printing photos, the paper and ink are designed to work better together as well. If you have an HP printer and use HP photo paper you will notice that the quality is a hundred times better than if you use Epson paper.

As long as you have the right size there is no problem. Also places like OfficeMax will refill the cartridge for you so you don't have to by a new one. I've used other ink that the one recommended by the printer and it works fine.

i have worked on purely about each printer form available and likely a finished of over 2000 printers. Epson is an ok printer yet you'll have better effective success with the HP. the shape and aspects are better helpful.

NOOOO. If you use any other brand of ink, you're risking damage and/or printer head clogging. You MUST use the exact prniter cartridge for your specific computer.
