I don't mean to sound like a conspiracy nut, but is the current hardline against Iran a deliberate attempt to provoke a massive, region wide conflict in the Middle East? Is it possible that the administration's actual goal is to bring about what they believe are the prophecies of Revelations? Is the awful feeling in my stomach that I get everytime I listen to the news about Iran justified, or am I overreacting?

He has to do something! He can't just let the problem fester.

I'd blame the Iranian government, not Bush, for the crisis.

It has come to the point where there is no other answer. It is "us" or "them". Iran has clearly stated that Iraq should be wiped off the earth along with the US. These are the evil ones. If our so called government would quit trying to blame each other for everything, maybe we could focus on what needs to be done to save our country. I don't agree with everything Bush and the administration has done, but I don't believe he has led us to armegeddon or he is the devil, or any of that absurd stuff. I would love to see how any other man or woman (rep or dem) would have handled all the things that have happened during his presidency. Me personally, I would have had a nervous breakdown a long time ago!

No. If anyone wants that it is Iran. All the people who complain about Bush and the States, would for sure shut up if they lived for a week in Iran! For the record, I'm from Canada.

I think there might be something to that. After all, Bush himself has said that he believes that God wanted him to be president and to invade Iraq. Also, he and many of his wingnut buddies believe that the end of the world is coming, anyway, so it's pointless to do anything to protect the environment or to try to promote peace. And with the way he's "stayed the course" and not listened to the experts who disagree with him, I wouldn't be surprised if he was hellbent on bringing about Armageddon.

The administration is ratcheting up the rhetoric in hopes that Iran will blink...so far they haven't.

I would not call his fairytale "Christian". He likes wars, in order to get himself and his Saudi friends richer, while the poor get poorer, God forbid.
