We all lie, getting away with it is a different story because each individual views their lies differently. Santa , Tooth fairy, Easter bunny. On one hand we expand imagination on the other hand you have the extreme that goes opposite this. Do I lie, if I said yes ,you most likely would believe me, if I said no you wouldn't . Perception of the individual determines their own reality which in turn decides who believes if what they say is a lie or a truth regardless of the content of the statement.

I find it difficult to lie. I even find it hard to say something positive about someones new hairdo or such like if I don't actually think it. So I guess I am probably guilty of lying by omission.

I believe lying can be justified in some situations particularly if it would hurt feelings unnecessarily to hear the truth.
If lying is unavoidable I think it best to link the lie with as much truth as possible. that way if you are caught out you can claim to have been misunderstood. So I guess in a round about way I am saying I could.

It would be a lie in itself if I claimed I have never lied, but I hope I have been true about important things.

I couldn't. I just can't lie to people because they will know right away. I'm an honest person but not an angel and innocent lies of course I tell now and then but a lie lie, no. I couldnt go through the day thinking that I lied to someone! It would make me feel really bad :(

Well, I can't see the point. A person who tells a lie has to have a good memory.
I'm not saying I've never told a lie because I have, and got well and truly caught out.
I avoid them if I can, although some times, that guy ,Lucifer gets me in trouble by whispering in my ear -yeah tell it, they will never find out, but they do; they jolly well do...

SO NO DEFINITELY NOT, ah but, is that a lie? ;-)

No, because lying is an action, which makes a habit, which makes a character, which makes a destiny, which makes a life. People who habitually lie are so deluded they don't even know what is true anymore, and I feel sorry for them. I have known a lot of chronic liars, and they are sad sad people.

hmm
telling a lie is easy [if you can make things up well]
but makeing another lie about it, and then making sure that no one leaks out the truth.. not as easy

so no.. dont try it
unless your very confident that your friends wont tell on you

=xD

Nope. Because it is too hard to remember what lie you told to what person. Eventually, it will catch up with you and then you've ruined friendships because your credibility is in the toilet and no one will trust you.

It's better to come clean and then you won't have it on your conscience.

No baby, that outfit doesn't make you look fat. You look just as good today as the day I met you. I'm so lucky to have found someone who apparently only gets better looking with age!
