tried this before and didnt find a good answer. you might reduce the stamp value as chemical residue discolors a stamp with age.

Having been a stamp collector for many years, I know that very few things may remove the ink.

I, personally have never tried to remove the ink, because it probably will either create a thin (When the backing paper comes off) or actually create a tear.

although, on Youtube, I have seen somebody use an Electrasol Gel pac, but I'm not sure if this works.

What I would say, is just don't remove the ink, just buy some more stamps.

Why do you want to remove the postmark anyway? It would ruin the stamp from a collector's point of view, or it would make you a criminal if you want to reuse the stamp for postage.

I don't know the answer, but I seriously doubt that it's possible to remove it. Cancellations are designed to make the stamp impossible to reuse. They are almost certainly indelible ink, and probably nothing will remove it that will also leave the stamp intact.

I don't think it can be removed without damaging the stamp itself. You can check on the USPS website...they may have information (I know there's a category for stamp collectors.

i'm a stamp collector and from my experienced, you can't remove them! you didn't say why you want them remove. from a collector's point of view, you don't in any circumstances because that's where the value lies!
