Does cable company have to come in house to disconnect cable?

Next week I am dropping my cable. Does the cable company have to come in my house in order to shut my service off. I dont want to miss any work waiting around for them to show up.

No they can do it from their station these days. But you might need to take your box to the station to get a deposit back.

No....they can do it outside the home without you even being there. If you have any of their equipment, cable box, etc. You can carry that into the office by yourself.
