Are you sure it isn't allergies? I know that I have dark circles under my eyes and my children have them as well and my doctor called them "allergy shiner's" and prescribed an over the counter allergy med and it took care of it for all of us.

Boy, if you come up with a good answer let me know. I,ve a dark circle under one eye, looks like I got punched, and have tried all sorts of stuff. I've recently heard that a yellow cream first, then your regular foundation lightly covering the yellow, is supposed to be good. The yellow is supposed to some how counteract the darkness. You can find it in almost all stores that sell makeup. I don't know for sure how it works, I haven't tried it yet but it's my next step. Good luck.

Dark eye circles are caused by blood oxidizing in little bits in/around those delitcate vessels under your eyes.
an easy fix that I have is Arnica Montana(AKA Leopardsbane) Boiron makes a gel extract that rocks & soaks in quickly. It helps to actually heal the blood vessels,so any muscle soreness or bruises also get helped when you apply this fab beauty find!

well i myself have those though they arent heriditery...are u sure ull be able to get rid of them if they are due to heredity?
anyways heres my tips for you :D
ï¼Dark circles:
ï¼Close your eyes and cover eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply a cream.
ï¼Grate a cucumber, squeeze to take out its juice and refrigerate. Make a mixture of potato and cucumber juices. Put the cotton on your eyelids and keep for 20 minutes. Wash your eyes with cold water.
ï¼Apply a mixture of lemon and tomato juice (equal parts) on the black circles 2 times a day.
ï¼Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice for dark circles under the eyes.
ï¼Apply crushed mint around the eye.
ï¼Massage with almond oil under and around eyes at bed time daily for 2 weeks and see the improvement. Almond helps to remove dark circles, and is an excellent "skin food".
ï¼Remove the cream applied around the eye after 10 min. No cream should be left on the skin around the eyes for long periods.
ï¼Rub the area with a powdered Vitamin E capsule and wipe off with a mixture of honey and egg white.
ï¼Put hot and cold clothes alternatively under eyes for 10 minutes. Then apply some almond oil on the dark surface before going to bed
ï¼The acupressure point for eyes is on the mount below the index finger of your palms. Pressing this mount may help.
ï¼Vitamin E for dark eye circles
ï¼This nifty little remedy for dark eye circles works very well for some people, and not at all for others. Take a Vitamin E capsule and carefully pierce it with a pin or needle. Dab a bit of the oil on your fingertip and pat it into the skin under your eyes. This remedy can help reduce dark eye circles and puffiness as well.
ï¼When you're done, swallow the rest of the capsule with a glass of water.
ï¼You will need:
1.1 tsp tomato juice
2.3-4 drops of lemon juice
3.a pinch of turmeric powder
4.enough white flour to make a paste
ï¼Mash these ingredients together into a medium-thick paste and dab it under your eyes. After fifteen minutes, wash the paste away. This should lighten the dark circles and address puffiness to some degree.
ï¼Learn to do your eye make up right before you step out of the house. Camouflage the dark circles using a concealor. Use a mascara to give an attractive wide eyed look. Do not use a kajal as it smudges and makes your dark circles even more prominent. Apply a very thin eye liner to define the shape of your eyes.
btw,i havent yet tested all of them so be careful!
