Okay I just got a bunny & I noticed every once & a little while she will sneez then only a tiny bit of wet-ness apears on her nose.

Other that that she's very active and her poops are fine, she's also eating and drinking well and she's breathing fine too.

I was told I should get her bytril,

Do you know why she might be like this?

Her cage had some pigeon poop in it from my other pet pigeon do you think thats what could have made her this way?, I cleaned the cage well before putting her in it.

Also when she sneezes she grunts sometimes.

Thanks!

She could have snuffles, which is like a bunny cold. You need to call the vet and get medicine for her.

My bunny sneezes sometimes, but it is because her hay is kind of dusty. If your bunny is sneezing AND has a runny nose and/or runny eyes, she is probably sick.

If your rabbit has been sneezing for more than a day or two, then your rabbit probably has a cold which is also sometimes called snuffles.

You may not see very much of the mucus due to the rabbit wiping it off with its front paws. Look at the inside of your rabbit's front paws. The fur on the inside of the front paws will normally be matted or look wet or kind of like a person's hair does with hair gel in it.

I recommend taking your rabbit to your vet then have him take a culture from the rabbit to determine what strain it is. Many veterinarians will automatically assume that the cause is pastuerella because pastuerella is the cause of most rabbit colds. However, there are about 4 different types or strains of rabbit colds. And the only way to know which strain is causing the cold is for your vet to take a culture to determine the strain. Once your vet determines the strain, then he/she can prescribe the appropriate medicine. If your vet does not take a culture, assumes it is pastuerella, and prescribes a medicine for pastuerella, that could make the cold much harder to cure if the strain is not pastuerella. The strain could become more resistant to antibiotics and could become harder to treat.

Also make sure that you keep your rabbit from having direct contact with any other rabbits you have. Some people will even quarantine the rabbit away from the rest of their rabbits. And if you have other rabbits, make sure you clean your hands before handling your other rabbits. A cold can spread very easily among rabbits and it can be very hard to stop.

Rabbits aren't supposed to sneeze. you can't get baytril unless she is seen by a vet. You can find great vets at this website http://www.rabbit.org
