here is what i would suggest:
because you are 'short', i'd pick something at or just above the knees (like 1 to 2 inches above the kneecap).
because you are 'curvy', i'd pick something nicely tailored to show off your curves. avoid anything floor length and/or shiny. lengthen the legs with a small heal (1 to 2 inches would be plenty).

if you like 2 pieces, pick a pencil skirt and a short, tailored jacket. corset tops also are flattering to large chested, curvy women.

and PLEASE make sure they fit. there is NOTHING worse than seeing someone in clothes that are too tight.

good luck and have fun at your party!

Hey there,

I'm a little younger than you but I can tell you the dress that caught my eye - if you go to Jane Norman, they have this absolutely beautiful black dress with flowers winding round it. It's quite expensive but the flowers seem to come in a new colour each week and I think there's a sale on at the moment.

Good luck, you'll look gorgeous!

sounds exciting.

My sister recently has bought her wedding dress and it sounds like your a big girl like she is? sorry to be rude. We found with a corsette top half of the dress made her stomach pull right in and the botom of the dress quite full. I know ur probs thinking im not getting married but this is just the shape of it.

Im gonna send links from shops:
I have short brown hair too so im gonna go for colours which suit me

if you have dark brown hair i suggest red it may not be your colour but here goes

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_17719_233615_-1

this dress is £100 a bit pricey i know!!

Ok another dress if you have light brown hair lilac would look really nice

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_17719_300568_-1

again this is £100!! sorry

If you look through the pages on ball gowns on debenams focusing on this shape they come in all different colours i suggest this.

i would go for something fitted you've got curves don't be frightened of showing them off
depending on if you like your arms either go for a strapless or put a tin shiffony style bolero jacket over the top, go for just above the knees and some cute dainty little strappy shoes but not to high as it may make you look a bit top heavy i wouldn't go any higher than 5inches

Check out Torrid.com. It is a plus size store but it carries clothes size 14 and up. Really cute stuff. Too bad I'm too old to wear most if it.

Since you are a larger girl, I would suggest Torrid. They sell young, sexy clothes for plus size girls.
Also, the wrap dress is supposed to be flattering on all body types. Avoid loud colors and patterns as well. And you don't have to do black, jewel toned colors are flattering and just as slimming as black.
