OK, here's my question: Why are some people winning the lottery and others are not?

There are, in fact, 2 theories to explain this.

One is that the people who constantly win the Lottery are psychic and that they use their powers to win. The LOttery CANT be pure chance, because a psychic can EASILY increase his chances of a win from 1 in 100,000,000 to 10-25%, with special methods. In this case, Lottery would be won a lot. It is not. 3 explanations:
1. Using PSI is a HUGE sin, ESPECIALLY to gamble!!!
2. Most psychics dont's know of the methods.
3. Lottery is rigged, which leads me to my second theory.

Another theory is that lottery IS rigged, meaning that winning numbers are selected based on what "guesses" are inputted by the players, not by random chance, and designed to give out the least possible money. That does NOT mean making everybody lose; it means OCCASIONALLY allowing people to win, just to keep them playing, and selecting a few "lucky individuals" who they constantly give the prize to, to keep the public hopeful. They are giving out the least amount of money possible. In this case, it does not matter if the player is psychic.

I DO know for sure that lottery money does NOT towards funding general education; it goes to the government…

I am more than positive that 1 of these theories is correct. Please do not say it’s all based on luck because luck does not explain it. (see above)

I know one more thing, if it helps, and that’s that old people win Lottery more than young people do…

So, my question: which of the 2 theories is correct??

You have no facts to back up your claim. I used to live in TN and since the lottery just got there 2 years ago, there has been a significant improvement in the state's spending on education, and it's ability to balance its budget. Some people win the lottery where others don't because not everyone can win, and it's based on random chance. To say it's psychic or ESP is complete BS because there is no factual basis for being psychic or having ESP.

Your two theories are both based on the fact that people who use ESP don't win. Shall we examine the fact that ESP is thoroughly and completely bogus?

Occam's Razor: "All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the best one."

There are two options:
1) ESP is bogus (simple)
2) There are several, massive conspiracies (one for each lottery system, bingo game, slot machine, etc.) designed to keep ESP users from winning (NOT simple)

But I guess if you have ESP, you knew I would say that.

I would suggest you find the book by Scott Adams called "The Dilbert Future" and read the last 4 chapters in the book.

The first one. I came close to divining the numbers once only to fail by 3 numbers which were 1 digit off each. Never played since...

Neither. Both are the unsupported rantings of someone who is looking to justify why he/she can't win the lottery.
