She caused the accident that killed someone--reckless driving for sure (or "inattentive driving")---she wasnt paying attention and slammed into the back of that poor woman's car....She also was the cause of other peoples' injuries and property damage.
If it were you or I in the other cars, how would we feel? And what if WE caused the accident--trust me, we'd be getting sued big time, too!

Yes, she should be charged with misdemeanor manslaughter, but the $50 million sounds a bit over the top.

Honestly, I think if she had been "recklessly driving in the freeway" according to the press, then I do think that she should be. The parents' of the deceased girl probably has a great lawyer and he's trying to get that maximum amount. She should probably have to pay the money and have some kind of mandatory service. I am a HUGE fan of Brandy but she WAS the cause of a death. Knowing how bad she feels, she probably wants to pay the money anyway.
It's a pretty high penny but what price can you put on those kind of damages?

possibly you have greater info on the motor vehicle accident than I do, yet i come across no info of any D.U.I., site visitors got here to a unexpected supply up and there substitute right into a series reaction collision. this occurs each and all of the time and particular, human beings rigidity too rapid and particular, human beings could pay greater interest, yet I seen no info of gross negligence right here. i might combat this civil healthful in the courts. it incredibly is undesirable sufficient a guy or woman have been given killed, yet for that to convey out the bald-confronted greed of that guy or woman's kin is lots uglier. She substitute into employing her motor vehicle at sixty 5 mph on a la expressway, so she substitute into even employing in the value shrink. It amazes me how promptly human beings will condemn somebody to reformatory.

no she should be charged an amount that fits the so-called crime she was not under the influence of any drugs or alcahol so why should she have to pay 50 million what because she can, if you or I hit this person we would not have to pay that much, she is remorseful and from what I have read it was an accident she may have rear-ended that poor woman but she didn't do it maliciously or with intent the fine for her crime is 1000.00 or a maximum of 1 year in jail, because this is her first offense she will not do any jail time, she will be fined she will do community service and she will quietly give the family some money under the table, that's it

She should be charged with reckless driving but paying 50 million dollars is excessive and unnecessary. I highly doubt it would be that much if she was not famous and we would not have heard of this either. I don't think it is right to go after someone like this because it was an accident. She will be haunted be this the rest of her life knowing she caused someone to die. That money should go to charity.

just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean that she should take responsibility for her actions. she should be fined and pay the price. kids look up to celebrities and they need to see that even they have punishments.
