1 metre = 39.64 inches 20 metres = 39.64 x 20 = 792.8 inches.
1 mile is 1760 yards x 3 x 12 = 63360 inches
63360 divided by 792.8 = 79.91

You need to swim 80 lengths.

A mile is exactly 1609 metres.

That would be 80 or 80.5 laps in the pool.

Just to give you a visual. In the Ironman Triathlon, you swim
2.4 miles, which would be around 193 laps in the swimming pool you go to.

It's 70.4 laps in a 25-yard pool. If you are good at math, you can figure out how many laps in a meter pool. Hope this helps.

To Everyone - after someone has answered the question precisely, you don't all have to keep doing it. It is not like you are proving you know it also...for all we know you can simply be copying the person before you. It would be like if I asked, what is 2+2? I bet all of you would keep answering, 4! Like we couldn't read it the first time.
