In the indian scenario, both kids are usually respectful and helpful to parents. In the western scenario, both kids are brats and are extremely disrespectful to parents. In the global scenario, daughters are mostly more helpful because most cultures that are still underdeveloped expect the wife to do housework and cleaning, so girls have to learn it early on.

What kind of question this is? Go anywhere in the world and you will find different set of functions for each of them (son and daughter). A son helps in the ways he is supposed to help and a daughter helps in a way she is supposed to help.

Rarely seen a son bake cake for his mom unlike daughter. Also rarely have I seen a daughter handling external affairs as son does. And where the the couple has just one child, he/she normally takes over some of the functions of the opposite.

And for parents, it doesn't really matter whther it's a son or a daughter, all that matters is that it's their kid.

:-)

Everything depends on the nature of the son/daughter and the luck/fate of the parents.

well in indian scenario;95% sons are more helpful to their parents b'coz of their ability to work & earn money even at the young age, they having more freedom than the daughters who stay at home all the time...but in western scenario;son's & daugther are both having same freedom...son's can work the household as well as the daughters &they can both work outside too...so even in global scenario they are both helpful in any matters...there are no comparison between the two.because FREEDOM SPEAKS!!!!!!!

In my opinion in India sons help their parents financially, and daughters help their parents by giving moral support by listening to their problems, by understanding their needs, by living with them during their difficulties, etc.

why are you asking such question??
my parents had never done any discrimination between their wards..so why should we do that??
be it India or any other place in the world..the relation of children with their parents remains the same..isn't it??
we all have certain commitments towards our parents..this fact can't be avoided..
so, be it a son or a daughter, in any place of the world, helping our parents is our prime responsibility..agree??
