I saw an advertisement on TV for a new printer that you simply plug into the phone line and it receives e-mail and photos with no internet access - Does anyone know who makes this or what it is called? It's just a printer - no computer, keyboard or monitor required. Thanks!

is an email to phone, interactive voice-messaging service. It converts email messages sent to your yourname@email2phone.net email-box into high quality human voice messages that are then delivered to a telephone number that you specify. Also, after listening to an eMail2Phone.net email message on a telephone, you can also record a reply on the telephone that will then be translated and sent back as an email.

Have not heard of this particular item-----BUT----
It sounds extremely close to a program that is available whereby a person can send (from the internet) emails and the like to others by way of THEIR FAX MACHINES (the recepient's ) ----So, it sounds to me like a twist of THAT to me---- could be a simple fax connection that others can send internet stuff to by way of a program that is similar (??) The name of the program I am speaking of here is called CLIKFAX and it is available for the whopping sum of some $ 4 USD at ------------------- http://www.download.com/

Hope this helps some how and good luck to you !!!

it does require a monthly service fee of 10.00.. you don't need a computer but it is just like getting a cheap internet plan but without all the options of using the net. you just get email.
