No. Is my simple answer. Why should 'we' stop selling stuff because of someone else's insecurities and insensitivities.
They are collectors items. Let them remain so.
Just about fed up with people dictating to me what I can and can't do!

Gollywogs are cool. My Aunt made me and my sister one each when we were kids and we were the only kids in our school to have one.
Did you know that Enid Blyton wrote alot of kids books with Golly Wogs in them but in the 60's or 70's they stopped printing them because they were seen as being insulting by these pollitically correct crazies.
So my answer is don't ban GollieWogs.

I didn't think they were still sold. Thought they went out of the shops years ago. I used to have one, they are just ordinary dolls as far as I am concerned.

What's wrong with a black doll?
Should dolls only be white?
Of course not.
People who have a knee-jerk reaction to things like that are probably the ones you want to watch out for.

Of course gollys are fine. England's too politically correct nowadays.

I have a Gollywog.
Some people do find them racially offensive, but I don't think they should stop selling them.

The older ones can be worth quite a bit.

I used to have one, wish I'd kept it. Also I loved the Robinsons pins that you could collect after you bought the jam.
