My mother got implants after a double mastectomy. She had moderate pain for a few weeks (but she had both breasts done at the same time). A couple of years later, one of the implants leaked out, and she had to have it replaced; the doctor performed it IN OFFICE (amazing). However, leaks are VERY RARE.

I think she's happy with the results...and I'm a bit jealous! I've got tired breasts where she's over 60 and still is perky!

If your mother wants to do this, support her. EVERY woman has the right to feel good about herself, regardless of her relationship to you or her age. The procedure is very safe. Tens of thousands of women can't be all that wrong.

Is she thinking of a reduction/lift? If so then its most likely because her back is bothering her and it will help her health by having them reduced/lifted.

Or it could be for reconstructive surgery?

As for the reduction/lift, I had one and I love it. No pain and so worth it I wish I got it done sooner.

One good thing about them you look better and thats it.
you have to check them every month.
They can break and that can kill her.
she might get breast cancer.
after surgery it might hurt more or less than other people it depends.
