Hi All,
This my first post,so here goes. I'm a 49 yr old male and am happily married with 2 grown up girls. I have a friend who is 34yrs old and in a strong relationship with her boyfriend. We got to know each working together, talking a lot and the odd drink out in a group. While we used to talk at work, I used to massage her back and head this came about because she keeps fit and had sore muscles and she was saying my backs sore. Anyway this has gone on for 4-5yrs till she left and went on a world trip. Now she's back and she came round to see me and show me her pics, after a while I started to massage her back and she said do my head as well so I did. we don't have a problem with this, but every-body says we're too close to be just friends. But we just say there narrow minded, I have told her I love her but this is in a brotherly way. My wife knows about all this and knows we are fond of eacher other. So is it normal to massage your opposite sex friend. thanks.

hell yeah it is but some people just dont understand that people can be close friends and dont like each other....if you think that you have falling in love with her then you have a problem but if you just mean it in the best of friends way i dont see any harm in doing it still but if your wife gets all hostile and angry about it you should stop..

If my wife found out that I was doing that she would be hurt and worried. Perhaps even angry. The reason for that is that you are too close and it could get even closer at the drop of the hat. You could very well end up in bed some day. It is not a good idea to continue this.

Everyone has friends of the opposite sex and as long as you BOTH see it as a sister and brother relaionship then there should be no problem. BUT if you both see it going further, stop before it gets out of hand and people get hurt. I'm sure you love your wife and family and your friend knows this. Just be careful and try not to let it get out of hand. Good Luck

If your wife knows and doesn't mind then I fail to see the problem. As long as you don't hurt your own family then it doesn't matter what the rest of the world thinks. Family and Friends come first over strangers. lol

The only person's whos opinion of your friendship really counts is your wife. If your wife doesn't mind, then neither should you. Just make sure you are telling your wife ALL of the details.

I think it's kinda odd but it's not like a serious thing. As long as your wife knows and what not... How can it hurt?

if you werent attracted to her i bet you wouldnt be massaging her head and back... Be honest with yourself, you want her. Maybe its only physically, maybe not.

if you say you love her like a brother or sister, you should only do to her what you would do to your own brother or sister, and i know i would not do that to my sister. hope this helps
