Some hospitals call them registrars or patient access service reps. In any case it is a high pressure job especially when the emergency room gets busy with acute cases. I do not know of any site, but the hospital employment sites list all the openings. Most of the times when they get a chance to move to another department they do so because of the pressure associalted with this job. Then again it all depends on each person. Some can handle pressure.

Are you considering this a career or job? You haven't been very specific. If you are looking for a job description, visit a hospital website in your area. Otherwise, I could tell you what they do according to one hospital that I worked in.
