NASA realized that a flag on a flagpole on the airless moon would just hang straight down, just as they do on Earth on a calm day. Not very photogenic. So specially made flags with wires running across the top and bottom were used. These wires were not iron-bar stiff; they did bend a little. If you look at the bottom of the Apollo 11 flag, you can see where the bar got a bit warped.

After the flags were planted, the astronauts' hands had imparted a little motion to the flag, so they oscillated for a bit like a pendulum.

When the ascent engine of the Lunar Excursion Module ignited to bring the astronauts back up into lunar orbit, exhaust from the rocket can be seen "blowing" the flag around. I believe I heard that the Apollo 11 flag was actually knocked down-- I don't know if the same thing happened to the other five flags.

Because it has a stiff rod sticking out horizontally from the top of the pole to support it in that position. NASA designed it that way to look good on camera on the airless Moon.

Now some say it moves too, but it only does that when the astronauts are shaking it as they push the pole into the ground. In all the videos after they finished setting it up, it is perfectly still, but the hoax believers never show those videos. They always show the video with the astronaut holding the pole and the flag shaking.

Because the aluminum frame that held it up was still wiggling. The frame also goes along the top of the flag to hold it out. If you watch the Science Channel, there was recently a documentary showing how stupid the people were who thought that the moon landings were a hoax. It was real. If you won't do the research, you'll just have to trust me... I'm a genius.

Nope, it incredibly is actual. "in case you heavily word the video of the astronauts putting the flag on the moon you will locate that in spite of the readability of deep area, the celebrities have been lacking from the black lunar sky." Take a digicam to the darkest maximum celebrity crammed sky you will detect and snap a image, do you assume to work out something? "The flag is shown to be waving...even in spite of the undeniable fact that there is not any air on the moon." The substitute into sewn to look like that. "And finally, there is not any blast crater below the lunar lander the place its efficient rocket engine had fired." The lunar lander substitute into not travelling rapid sufficient to pass away any form of crater. EDIT: "merely look on the photos! THE SHADOWS formed by THEIR suits at the instant are not PARALLEL WITH THE SHADOWS OF THE ROCKS in the FOREGROUND. in the event that they have been incredibly on the MOON THEIR in basic terms source of sunshine may be the sunlight!" think of roughly it, shadows will in basic terms be parallel if the floor is fairly flat, is the Moon completely flat?

It was held horizontal with a rod number one. Secondly, you don't have to have air to get a ripple effect. Waves happen in anything regardless of air presence. You'll notice that the waves were stationary. They formed when it was being placed there, just from the physical movement of the astronaut. Imagine standing in a vacuum waving a flag around. What do you think the cloth will do as you move it with no air? Will it stay in one shape as you wave or will it ripple and bend?

Do you really believe they landed there in the 60s? Or was it just a ploy to lead us to believe they beat the Russians to it? Some people reckon the whole "moon landing" was false. Take a look at the shadows cast and they seem to go in all directions
