8.3 ft. If your horse is that big- you should contact World Records- cause your horse just broke it. Make sure you are measuring from bottom of hoof to top of withers- not the top of his head. Many novice people make this mistake.

It's unlikely that your horse measures 25 hands high.... that would be about 8.3ft to the withers if you're measuring correctly...
A 'hand' measures 4".
A horse is measured on level ground, from the ground to the withers.
Without a measuring stick in 'hands', use a measuring stick in inches, then divide the inches by 4. That will give you the height in hands. i.e: 16.2hh. You can go to .3 3/4 of a hand before going to the next whole number. i.e: 15.3 3/4, 16.hh, 16.1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 16.1hh, 16.1 1/4, and so on.
Hope this helps!

25 hands is about 8.3 feet. Every hand is approx. 4 inches. Thats a pretty big horse, by the way!!

supposedly a "hand" is 4 inches, so he is approximately 8 feet 4 inches tall - hope this is what you wanted

well seeing as the tallest horse in the uk is a 19.5hh Shire, i doubt your horse is 25hh!

the tallest EVER was a Shire named Samson who was 21.2hh.

i think you may need to remeasure him ;) it's from the bottom of his hoof to his whither (sp?). the person above me summed that up better.
