How about this as a plan for the usa?

Pull all military out of every country on earth set up all carriers and destroyers around north america and let the country's who can't get along with each other duke it out all on their own!

then how would we be able to import the things we need from other countries?
while this idea might not be the best one, i do agree that we have our noses stuck in way to many affairs of other countries.
