A great deal, I am proud of my Scandinavian heritage. It has in part lead me to my current religion, Asatru. I believe we inherit not only our ancestors general physical appearance, but also their predominant mental, emotional, and spiritual traits. So it is only natural that I'd feel more at home practicing my ancestor's religion then some other religion.

Most immediately, it leaves me feeling profoundly guilty for the damage my ancestors did to this world and to its native peoples as they expanded and colonised.

Beyond that though, I'm proud of my own pagan past, and feel a deep connection with the world because of it. The west wasn't always a bunch of greedy, arrogant monotheists. There was a time when we also lived in relative harmony with nature.

PS. I'm a white South African of mixed Irish, British and Italian descent.

proud of the heritage I have especially the Native American ancestry. just luck of the draw I am what I am. why not be proud of what one is since none of us really had any choice in the matter.

The American Indian in me has influenced my physical appearance. I find I am very open to animals and nature, and pay heed to the moon. My Irish...I drink a lot.
