There's no way that you can get onto it, unless you have your own login account on that PC. The PC normally support multiple user accounts, so that the same PC can be used by different users. Any one of these users can access the PC by using their own user ID and password.

If you have Windows XP, you can use safe mode (press F8 at the boot screen - the one with the blue/green blocks that move across the middle) to log in on the normally hidden adminstrators account. You can then set up a new user account in the control panel. Restart the computer. Then use the account you set up until you can remember the password.

If you are not using Windows XP, let us know which OS you are using.

You probably already have one. You just have not enabled that feature. Go into www.computeractive.co.uk and look for 'Readers to the rescue'
Register (free) and you can get answers to any computer and software questions you may have. Terrific resource.
