Many Singapore were robbed in Malaysia (Johor Bahru). I can see for the past few months that many Singaporean were robbed in JB.

To me, Malaysia is still too far from crime free.... It is still so dangerous. When Singaporean need help on rob case, the police there do not really do their jobs.

I hope Malaysia can improve one day.........

Let's not blame others for being unlucky..First of all we have to be alert at all times when we are carrying a lot of valuables. Secondly, don't go to secluded spots alone. Thirdly, please don't wear designer or filthy rich outfits to to pasar malam or Lorong Belakang Mati!(Small Dead end Lane)
I agrees that the crimes have been increasing lately..let's not forget that they are even worse crimes happening in other countries that we haven't come across.
Why is this happening? Well basically everything is so expensive nowadays, some they live out of poverty and these circumstances may lead them to rob and become petty thefts.
The police force are trying their best to curb these crimes so as not to tarnish the image of our country. Overall it is still a safe and nice place for all tourists to visit

The most dangerous place in Malaysia in my opinion is Johor. The reason is because it's near Singapore! The state is poorly run, and crooks from Malaysia and Singapore 'feel' they can easily evade authorities by going across the border.

Not all of Malaysia is like Johor. The rest of Malaysia is still safe.

5 Worst Things about Johor
1. High crime rate
2. Irresponsible and dangerous drivers
3. Tight roads and poorly planned city.
4. Corrupt government officials
5. Prostitution

I admitted the malaysia police department yet lot to improve, and long way for them to move on.

It is not only happen to singaporean, the local people is not well protected too.

More than 5 milion of foreign worker which partial of them who do not hold valid working permit had become a major problem to malaysia, as these people create lot of criminal case. And these, is problem created by govt who do not control well in their policy during initial stage.

yes totally agree. recently the Singapore newspaper reported that over 300 Singaporean were robbed in JB. So when Singaporeans go there they need to be more careful, try not to wear expensive clothes and jewelery. Be cautious with your surroundings and be safe, cheers

the robber's job is to rob
our job is to safeguard our belongings from being robbed
everybody need to do jobs for living

crime free? are you sleeping are you sleeping brother john...wake up man. no such things in the world

I once had a chance talking to a malaysian policeman. his feedback is sometimes he feels sick and tired of some(not all)singaporean's attitude, they are very arrogant, have no manners, and always feels like (feel only, but they're not) they are the best people in the world. "... and you expect to get special treatment from us with this kind of attitude and manners?", the policeman asked me.

I once attended a motivation seminar, i learned one thing: if you pointing a finger to others, three more fingers are always pointing at you

i really hope everybody can continually improve everyday

This is very true... I don't think its only Johor... My friends and I encountered once in Malacca Bus Terminal. So everyone must be cautious at all time in Malaysia.

Every where in this world, if you read news paper, there is a rob cases. Not only in Malaysia. If you knowing there is laws of attraction (laws of nature), it happen is not a coincident, it’s you, and yourself attract this entire thing to happen. Be responsible to yourself. Be awareness; be positive in your thinking. I guarantee it will not happen to you.

Actually, I am Canadian and was robbed in Kuala Lumpur. Their police didn't even care. I am not surprised if that happens to Singaporeans in Johor Bahru. And guess what, they blame everything to Indonesians.... what a crap idea huh?
