I dont' understand why food companies can't replace trans fats with regular fats or no fats at all. The labels read trans fat free, but they are replacing them with a new fat called interesterified fats. The interesterified oils may not only lower HDL cholesterol levels but also cause a significant rise in blood sugar. So they are replacing a bad fat with a worse fat.

trans fat makes the food they make look fresh longer and it is also cheaper to buy. which is ironic becuse we dont stay fresh as long and it will be more expensive for us to keep up with the medical bills.
