You could try mashing a banana at home and mixing it half & half with baby food. After doing this a couple of times, just switch over completely to real bananas.

It depends on how old your baby is, if he or she is two young real bananas may constipate them. Real bananas is one of those things that have a funny texture, your baby may never like real bananas, I have a 52 year old friend that refuses to eat them to this day because she can't bring her taste buds to accept the texture. The only thing you can do is continue to offer your baby a little bit of banana every couple of days, there will always be certain things your baby just will not like, make sure they try everything so they don't grow up to be such a picky eater, but also recognize when they just flat do not like somethings.

You could mash a real banana up a little bit, leaving some very small chunks for texture. Chances are the baby may like the texture of the real banana better.

Take a ripe banana. Mash it with a fork, add a little water or milk depending on the desired consistency. The ripe banana taste is quite sweet, most baby will like them. The baby food bananas have extra starch and sugar in them.

Have you tried smashing the bananas until it looks like the baby food and putting a little baby cereal in it? Try that. I think that it should work. It did for me.
Good Luck!

They have baby food grinders at places like walmart etc. If you mash up the real banannas and add some of the baby food you baby should recognize some of the flavour... eventually you start to take away the amount of baby food you mix. Hope this works for you!

Mush them up and keep offering them. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times introducing a new food for it to catch on. By the way, the same works for older kids.
