Very curious about this as I'm guessing it's a pretty high ocurrence.

I know many people who justify this as NOT being an affair because it's not physical but that's pretty rediculous to me. Sometimes when on an emotional level it's far worse.

Well, I know it's pretty high. My husbands first marriage ended due to his ex lookin' for love and finding it online(many times...). It's pretty sad but realistically, if the 2 were really in love, respected each other and had a healthy solid relationship this crap wouldn't happen.

I hear about this everyday. Alot of marriages and relationships are ruined by Online Affairs. On the Net, a Person can be anything the other person is looking for or desires. The only real way to know a person is to spend real quality time with them in the Physical sense. The sad part is the individuals whom tend to be attracted to this sort of thing, are the Lonely, depressed, or simply bored. Something is missing in their Life. Nine out of ten times, when a person actually meets their online/Lover, they find out they are NOT what they have been pretending to be...

I dont know the exact numbers but I would say they are pretty high...online flirting/chatting is not good for relationships, it can cause alot of problems. Myself and my husband went through a rocky time in our relationship and we both turned to the internet when the going got rough, all it did was make things worse. If your relationship already has problems then going online will only make it worse!

Considering the "players" and "married men and women" online flirting, would say very high! A person who is in a relationship of any kind has no buisness online flirting but sometimes they are out there looking for the attention they aren't getting from their partner.

The internet doesn't ruin marrages - those were bad relationships to begin with, if the internet didn't exist, those marrages would still fall apart (it would just take a little longer)

It's probably very high. Relationships and marriages do suffer because of this.
