108 Mbps Wireless?

Question

i have a 54mbps wireless network and wanna to upgrade to 108 mps, will i get 2 times speedup?
Besides, why my 54mbps wireless network is slower than wired.

might seem that way, depends, wireless can be tricky, wireless routers run a 2 to 2.9GHZ channel, now there are tons of things that run on 2ghz channels, wireless phones, baby monitors, most small wirless electronics! this can make wireless internet act funky or slow down, im not trying to discourage you from wireless (im using it now) but keep in mind these things when u set it up, where u set it up, whats in the way, cement walls? steel beams? keep that stuff in mind,
