When it was time for me to push the baby, it felt like I had to poop... honestly, there is nothing in the world that could have made me stop pushing when it was time. The Dr kept saying "The baby needs you to breathe" so I would stop for 1/2 a second to take a breath. If she hadn't said that, I would not have stopped pushing to breath.

I have no idea if I pooped or passed gas on the Dr. I was so involved with the labor, I had no clue what was going on. Afterwards, I was so exhausted I just lay there, and the Dr. and the nurse cleaned me up.

Don't worry about it. There is so much going on, all of your concentration is on bringing your baby into the world, you do not have time to be embarrassed over anything!

They ask you if you have had a bm when they get you into the labor and delivery room so their already prepared for it. Besides they deliver babies all day every day, they know!
Shot, there's so much pressure down there i couldn't wait to push. The pain and pressure blocks everything else out.
Embarrassed about gas and some poop? What's worse than having your **** out for the entire world to see? That's the least of my worries.

It is totally normal for either or both of these things to happen. I was petrified about it myself...I'm very modest in this area. However, when they are telling you to push and you know that a baby is about to come out after all that waiting...you couldn't care less what you have to do. If/when the poop does come out the nurse will just wash it away very quickly. The doctor won't miss a beat....he/she will have probably delivered several other babies that day, so you are really just another one. Seriously...it isn't as bad as you are thinking now. I know for me I was worried about pain and pooping....neither of which was bad. As a matter of fact, with the epidural I couldn't feel a thing. I could just feel with my hand this little head coming out of me and I pushed with all my might and the next thing I knew there was this little slimy hot cute little critter on my belly....very little blood too! Ohhhh... I can't wait for the next one now!

trust me your not even thinking about that during the birth, your more like thinking get this thing out of me nooooooow it hurts like hell. probably 99% of women will go poo during the pushing, how can you not you cant help it, your pushing thats a normal thing. the doctors are so used to that, they just continue on, they dont tell you if you did or not. what i did was stay away from foods that i knew didnt treat me so well once i neared the duedate, just in case. dont worry it happens to everyone, trust me you wont even think about it. and besides at this point, its alittle too late to be shy.

You won't even KNOW if you expel feces during labor, but I'm pretty sure that most women do so it's expected. Believe me, when you are giving birth that is the LAST thing you are thinking about!
