Rent a U-haul truck and a tow dolly locally. Drive to where the car is, load it up and bring it home. This can be done for about $100.00 total.

Renting whatever equipment you need, only a towing dollie, if you own your own or can borrow a vehicle to do the towing, renting a truck with towing equipment, already suggested, or enrolling in one of hte road side emergency programs like Allstate and Geico have that pays for long towing. These program are well worth the nominal cost, BTW.

rent a dollie from u-haul or something?

If you're in a redneck area like me, hook a chain up to it and pull it. Make sure someone is in the other vehicle to hit the brakes when needed. <<
On what the poster below said, I used to have AAA. They would tow if needed, but on the two occasions I needed them, the took over three hours to get someone there. Both times I was sitting on the side of the road in a major metropolitan area with my family and my dogs baking in 90 degree heat. They kept sayging, "someone should be there within half an hour" I can't recommend AAA, although it might be good if you can use them and abuse them as the poster below suggests. They deserve it.

You can rent a tow dolly yourself from your local u-haul, penske, budget, or ryder dealer. A lot cheaper than a tow truck. That's what I am going to do, and I am moving from PA to FL.
